Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church was constituted on June 11, 1892 and since that time has strived to maintain a commitment to the beliefs and practices that characterized the first-century Christian church. The word "primitive" does not carry the meaning of "uncivilized" but rather "original." The method of worship we practice and the doctrines we teach we feel to be in alignment to what is patterned for us in the New Testament by Christ and the apostles. Times change constantly but the message of Christ and the operation of His Church remains the same!
We hold fast to a biblical message of salvation solely by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our Savior came into this sin-cursed world for specific purpose, which was to save his chosen people from their sins (Matthew 1:21). Christ did not suffer on the cross and rise again the third day to offer salvation or make us redeemable. He died to accomplish eternal salvation (Hebrews 9:12) for the elect which were chosen in Christ before the world began (Ephesians 1:4, 1 Peter 1:2). Because of this, God's people are secure in the hand of God (John 6:37-39, John 10:27-30) and their home in heaven is assured. The purpose of the gospel is to declare the finished redemptive work of Christ on behalf of depraved, helpless sinners. (Isaiah 40:1-2).
At Little Flock Church, you will find a method of public worship that simply consists of acapella singing, prayer and Christ-centered preaching (from the King James Bible). The only instruction given in the New Testament is to lift up praises up the Lord by our voices (Rom 15:9, I Cor 14:15, Eph 5:19, Col 3:16, Heb 2:12, James 5:13), and that is the example we strive to follow today. Our services are family-integrated and parents are able to worship with their children, as Jesus practiced during his personal ministry (Mark 10:13-14). The House of God provides a nurturing environment for God's children of all ages!
If simplicity that is in Christ appeals to you (2 Corinthians 11:3), we would humbly invite you to join us any Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. as we worship our Savior.
